I really love the colors you use in all your pieces! They do a great job at standing out amongst the other pictures on the site. Do you use specific color palettes or just wing it?

depends on the piece, sometimes i have a few colors as bases and then go from there, or sometimes i start picking colors from zero

It's pretty good for your first shot at a male character! :) The most obvious thing you'd wanna change though is the nipples should be closer to the bottom corner of the pecs, instead of in the middle like that.
